Delta Casino Registers in Alberta Ahead of Highly Anticipated July 13 Market Open

Established Canadian hospitality and entertainment operator Delta iGaming has officially finalized its strategic market entry parameters for the province of Alberta ahead of the region’s re-regulated digital open launch this summer.

Canadian Sourced Operational Infrastructure

The company confirmed it has completed formal registration procedures with the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC), which maintains sole jurisdiction as the market regulator, alongside executing a commercial operating agreement with the Alberta iGaming Corporation (AiGC), the central body tasked with managing the province’s interactive betting market. The re-regulated Alberta sports betting and online casino arena is legally scheduled to open for commercial business on July 13, 2026.

The operational rollout follows immediately behind the launch of Delta Casino’s new mobile app, which is powered via a technical platform partnership with Strive Gaming to complement the group’s legacy network of 18 land-based gaming venues situated across Ontario.

Alberta’s upcoming interactive framework replicates the successful regulatory blueprint deployed by Ontario, where total gaming handles and net revenue metrics have maintained robust growth trajectories since opening the jurisdiction to private commercial brands in April 2022. Delta iGaming joins an elite group of private Tier-1 sportsbooks, including DraftKings and PointsBet, that have confirmed their launch-ready status for the summer rollout.

Building a Welcoming and Reliable Local Experience

Jason Karklins, Vice President of iGaming at Delta Casino, emphasized that the brand’s identity as an entirely domestic, family-owned enterprise serves as a defining differentiator for local players:

“We are thrilled to bring the Delta Casino experience to players in Alberta. Alberta represents a tremendous opportunity, and we are proud to enter this market as a Canadian, family-owned company.

For us, that means building an experience that feels welcoming and reliable, supported by a team that is entirely based right here in Canada, from our customer service representatives to our executive leadership.”
