The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has deemed 17 URLs relating to the online casino operator God55 as illegal, as its websites don’t have a valid license besides featuring the licensing badge of the MGA.

God55’s casino websites target customers in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand, and this can be seen in the way that the operator presents itself to the public as “the most trusted online casino in Asia”.

The trouble with the Malta Gaming Authority is that the websites run by God55 claim to have licenses from both the MGA and PACGOR, despite the fact they are using old logos and provide no links whatsoever to their certificates.

Consequently, the MGA has issued a statement calling this claim “false and misleading”, stating that the operator misguides players into believing that the websites run by God55 are properly regulated and approved by the authority.

Additionally, God55 also states that Mike Tyson is their official brand ambassador and has an official YouTube channel where it advertises potentially illegal streams of shows on its websites.

On the same YouTube channel, God55 states that the owners of the company are based in Russia.

The Malta Gaming Authority issued an official statement reminding players that unregulated and falsely advertised online casinos are dangerous and pose a serious threat to their finances and mental well-being.

The MGA would like to remind consumers not to utilize services provided by an entity unless they have ascertained that the entity in question is authorized to provide such services by the MGA. The gaming regulatory framework obliges authorized persons to comply with strict legal requirements in the interest of consumers. The activities of unlicensed entities are unregulated and do not provide the necessary safeguards delineated by virtue of the framework, making transactions with such entities risky for consumers.
