Gamblers Connect is excited to inform our beloved community that we have sponsored one of the top Croatian and Balkan poker players during the biggest poker tournament in Croatia, the legendary XMAS MAIN EVENT.

Taking place in the capital, Zagreb, the Croatian XMAS MAIN EVENT is the country’s premier poker event and one of the biggest poker tournaments in the Balkans, gathering hundreds of players from all around the Peninsula each year.

With a festival guarantee of €100.000, the XMAS MAIN EVENT is no stranger to poker professionals, as each year it turns Croatia into a Balkan poker hub where the best of the best go head-to-head to win this lucrative main prize.

Well, this year, Gamblers Connect had the pleasure of being the official sponsor of one of these legends and one of Croatia’s most talented poker players in recent times, Miroslav Lukač.

Miroslav’s reputation in the poker world precedes him, as he has been part of the Croatian and Balkan poker scene for more than a decade, having played and won many of the major poker tournaments in this part of the world.

During the tournament, Miroslav started out strong, going through the first two rounds without any issues, demonstrating his skills and natural ability to read the game like very few players can.

Unfortunately, poker is also a game of chance, and if the cards don’t want you, there is little you can do to win.

Miroslav entered the final showdown of the round strong, going all in with pocket Jacks (JJ) against a pocket of Sevens (77). Now, in any other circumstance, this would have been enough for Miro to notch another easy win.

However, as luck would have it, the river card on the flop turned out to be another Seven, thus kicking our Miro out just before reaching the ITM (in-the-money) positions.

Despite this misfortune, Gamblers Connect is proud of the way Miroslav played and conducted himself during the tournament.

We would like to congratulate him for representing our company in the most professional way possible, and for giving us the opportunity to be his sponsor.

Good luck in the future Miro, hope to see you come back stronger next year!
