SiGMA has shortlisted Gamblers Connect for Best iGaming Media 2026 at the SiGMA World Awards, alongside seven other industry publications. The winner is named in Rome on 2 November.
SiGMA Group has shortlisted Gamblers Connect for Best iGaming Media 2026 at the SiGMA World Awards. The organiser published the finalists on 19 October 2026 and opened voting the same day. The awards night takes place on 2 November at Corsie Sistine in Rome, on the opening day of SiGMA World, which runs from 2 to 5 November.
A note on our relationship with the organiser: Gamblers Connect has a media collaboration with SiGMA Play, part of SiGMA Group, announced on 27 August 2026. We state it here because SiGMA runs these awards. The shortlist and the result are decided under SiGMA’s own published process, set out below.
Who else is on the shortlist
Eight publications are listed in the category on SiGMA’s voting form: InterGame, Gamblers Connect, Gaming International Online, Casino Life Magazine, Global Gambling News, Global Gaming Insider, iGaming News and Focus Gaming News. Focus Gaming News won Best iGaming Media 2025 at the last edition, according to the awards page. Best iGaming Media is one of 32 categories on this year’s form.
How the winner is chosen
Nominations opened on 3 August and closed on 5 October, and anyone working in the gambling industry could nominate a company, project or person, according to SiGMA. The awards page states that the winner in each category is decided by a combination of the judges, weighted at 70 percent, and the public, weighted at 30 percent.
SiGMA names six judges: Simon Westbury, Strategic Advisor at 1xBet; Dmitry Starostenkov, CEO of Evenbeter; Arshak Muradyan, Group Chief Compliance Officer at Digitain; Natasa Stojcic, Senior Head of Client Solutions at Better Collective; Alessio Crisantemi, Editor in Chief of ItalianGamingNews.it and founder of IGE; and Carlo Geronimo Cardia, a lawyer and chartered accountant at Studio Legale Cardia.
How to vote
Public voting is open until 26 October on SiGMA’s voting form. The form asks for a name, email address and company, asks voters to choose one option per category, and states that if someone votes more than once, only the most recent submission counts. Readers who think our work this year deserves it can find Gamblers Connect under Best iGaming Media 2026.
What the shortlisting reflects
The category looks at a publication as a whole, and 2026 has been a year of building for Gamblers Connect. We launched the Contributors Program in January and the iHub directory in February, moved to a platform built in house in June, and added the Verified Sources panel to every published piece in July. August brought the GC Briefing and the Zero Day security vertical, September brought Proof of Play, and in October the newsroom launched News by Region. The full timeline is on our About page.
Gamblers Connect is iGaming B2B media. We do not provide traffic, do not operate as an affiliate, and do not refer players.
Luka Dimitrijevic, Partnerships and Operations Lead at Gamblers Connect, on the shortlisting:
Pleased to see Gamblers Connect on this list, next to publications we read every day. Most of what we built this year came from one question: can the reader check it? That is why every piece now carries its sources, and why Proof of Play exists. If you think we got that right, a vote would mean a lot to the team. Congratulations to everyone shortlisted.
What comes next
Voting closes on 26 October 2026. SiGMA names the winners at the SiGMA World Awards in Rome on 2 November, and Gamblers Connect will report the result in Updates.
