Community Contribution Supports Vulnerable Individuals and Urban Revitalization Efforts in the Inner City
As part of the rollout of the Super Group Cares initiative, Betway Africa colleagues have directed their inaugural major community contribution to Johannesburg-based organization MES (Mould Empower Serve). Following an internal vote, the organization was presented with a donation of R110,000 on Thursday, August 27, marking a significant milestone for the corporate social responsibility program.
Empowering Vulnerable Communities and Revitalizing Hillbrow
Operating out of Johannesburg’s inner city, MES focuses on supporting vulnerable individuals, assisting young adults as they navigate life transitions, and helping people experiencing homelessness regain stability, dignity, and sustainable livelihoods. Beyond individual support, the organization plays a vital role in the socio-economic revitalization of Hillbrow.
Through targeted community development initiatives, skills training programs, and social support services, MES works to create safer, cleaner spaces while empowering residents to become active contributors to society.
The donation highlights the collaborative spirit of the Super Group Cares initiative, with team participation driving the selection process. The organization looks forward to supporting additional worthy causes within local communities as the CSR journey continues.
