Online Betting and Casino Operator Scales International Growth Strategy with Key Leadership Hire
Online betting and casino platform Midnite has appointed industry veteran Dale Tang as the General Manager of its Canadian business. Tang, who previously held senior leadership roles at FanDuel and the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG), announced his new position via LinkedIn, confirming he will spearhead the operator’s upcoming launch and expansion across Canada.
Tang brings extensive commercial and strategic expertise to the role, having spent five years with FanDuel’s Canada-facing division, most recently serving as senior director for commercial, analytics, and retention. Earlier in his career, he held key strategy positions with OLG and worked as a consultant for BDO Canada.
Fueling International Expansion and Financial Backing
Midnite‘s entry into the Canadian market represents the latest milestone in its broader international expansion roadmap. Originally launched in 2018 as an online sportsbook, the operator expanded its portfolio in 2023 to include horse racing and casino products.
The Canadian rollout is supported by recent financial milestones. Earlier this year, Midnite closed a $35 million Series C funding round led by The Raine Group’s Raine Partners IV growth equity fund. This followed a $100 million credit facility arranged last year with House Advantage Fund and PvX Capital, alongside a $10 million Series B round dedicated to product development and user acquisition. These funds have been earmarked to accelerate operational scaling and drive international expansion initiatives.
