Web3-focused iGaming platform provider DeGaming has announced the appointment of Édi Varela as its new Commercial Director. Varela joins the company following a recent rebrand, bringing over a decade of industry expertise across iGaming, payments, and commercial account management to accelerate platform adoption.
Scaling Web3-oriented iGaming solutions and transparency
Varela brings more than ten years of commercial experience to DeGaming, having previously managed key accounts and sales operations at prominent industry firms including OpenTag, Kaizen Gaming, Gamingtec, and Sportingtech. In his new leadership role, Varela will oversee a team of tenured professionals, spearheading partnership expansions and guiding client post-sales journeys to drive strong commercial outcomes.
The appointment supports DeGaming’s ongoing push to scale its Web3-oriented product suite, anchored by its “Truth Beats Trust” brand positioning and the proprietary “Glass Vault” technology, which offers real-time proof of funds and full platform visibility.
Executive commentary
Ulle Skottling, CEO at DeGaming, stated:
“Édi joins us at an important turning point in DeGaming’s development. We have built the technology and established our clear position in the market. The next step is to accelerate adoption and bring our product to more operators.”
Skottling added:
“Édi’s experience across many areas of the industry gives him a uniquely broad perspective on what our customers need. He understands the commercial realities but also sees where the market is heading. He will play a crucial role in taking our ‘Truth Beats Trust’ philosophy from a brand statement into our commercial relationships.”
Édi Varela, Commercial Director at DeGaming, commented:
“DeGaming is addressing a problem I have seen throughout my career in iGaming. There is a significant gap between what the industry asks people to trust and what they can actually see with their own eyes.”
Varela further noted:
“I’m excited to lead a team of tenured professionals as we partner with new clients and ensure the post-sales journey fosters strong commercial results for them.”
