Global iGaming and sports betting operator Entain has announced the appointment of Sheila Bangalore as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect.
The strategic governance addition lands as the company optimizes its regulatory oversight and corporate strategy loops.
Over Two Decades of Jurisdictional Expertise
Bangalore brings more than 20 years of technical and commercial experience across the gaming, hospitality, and technology sectors. Her extensive track record features senior compliance and legal leadership roles at major industry suppliers, including Bally Technologies and Aristocrat Technologies, as well as MP Materials Corporation.
Beyond these assignments, Bangalore has served on the board of directors for Games Global and currently maintains a non-executive director seat at Alliance Entertainment Holding Corporation. Entain emphasized that her professional history delivers deep mastery across multi-jurisdictional regulation, capital markets, and corporate governance.
As an independent non-executive director, Sheila Bangalore will operate without holding any executive management functions. This enables her to provide objective oversight on group strategy, corporate governance, and risk management portfolios while remaining structurally separate from day-to-day operations.
Backstopping Balanced Financial Growth
Her arrival at the board level closely follows Entain’s positive first-quarter trading update for 2026. For the three months ending March 31, the London-listed operator group posted a stable 3% year-on-year increase in group net gaming revenue (NGR). The financial performance was led primarily by digital segments, with online NGR expanding 5% and overall online player volumes jumping 10%.
