Close-up of the Swedish flag, representing the regulatory environment where SkillOnNet received a remark for missing responsible gaming links.

Global white-label operator SkillOnNet has received a regulatory notice/remark from the Swedish Gambling Authority (Spelinspektionen) following an investigation into compliance failures on one of its operator brand websites.

The regulator identified that specific, mandatory links to responsible gaming tools were absent from the website of Prime Casino when viewed in “logged-out” mode.

According to Swedish gambling regulations, licensed operators must ensure that icons for self-testing gambling behavior, setting deposit limits, and accessing the national self-exclusion register (Spelpaus) are permanently visible.

Spelinspektionen’s supervision revealed that while these icons were present for users who had logged into their accounts, they did not appear on the Prime Casino website for visitors who were not logged in.

This was deemed a neglect of information responsibilities required to protect players and the general public.

In its response to the regulator, SkillOnNet operator acknowledged the issue but stated that the icons were always available to active, logged-in players.

The operator claimed it had discovered the omission on the logged-out view prior to the initiation of Spelinspektionen’s supervision and had already taken steps to address it.

The company confirmed that the deficiencies were fully rectified shortly after the regulator requested a formal response.

Taking into account the operator’s swift corrective actions, Spelinspektionen opted to issue a remark rather than a more severe penalty.

The regulator concluded that while SkillOnNet had neglected its duties regarding information provision, the company had, to a large extent, fulfilled its broader responsibilities to players and corrected the identified errors immediately upon notification.

This case serves as a reminder to all operators within the Swedish jurisdiction regarding the strict necessity of compliance with display requirements across all site variations.

Spelinspektionen (Swedish Gambling Authority) Ruling:

The operator largely fulfilled its responsibility to provide information to players and corrected the identified deficiencies shortly after the Gambling Authority’s remarks.
