An architectural rendering of the future Wynn Al Marjan Island integrated resort in Ras Al Khaimah, set to be the first casino in the UAE and a key client for newly licensed suppliers like Konami.

Konami Gaming has officially been granted a gaming-related vendor license by the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA).

This strategic approval allows the Japan-based entertainment and gaming conglomerate to supply its portfolio of casino games and management systems to the nation’s newly regulated gaming market.

The licence positions Konami to become a key supplier for upcoming integrated resorts, most notably the Wynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, which is slated to become the UAE’s first property with a casino when it opens in early 2027.

Konami’s offerings include its popular Class III random number generator (RNG) slot machines as well as the advanced Synkros casino management system.

Synkros is a comprehensive tool utilized by major casino operators globally, including The Star in Australia and Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, to manage everything from accounting and slot management to marketing and loyalty programs.

Konami joins a growing roster of prominent international suppliers that have also secured licences from the GCGRA, including Light & Wonder, Aristocrat, IGT, and Novomatic.

This influx of established gaming technology providers underscores the significant global interest in the UAE as it prepares to launch its commercial gaming sector.

Tom Jingoli, President and CEO of Konami Gaming, commented on the development, stating:

Since Konami Gaming’s inception, our global growth has been achieved with an unwavering commitment to compliance. As the United Arab Emirates expands its economy to the regulated commercial gaming space, Konami is dedicated to supporting this market with the same integrity, innovation and excellence we bring to all 431 gaming jurisdictions we serve worldwide.

This move represents another step in Konami’s ongoing international expansion, which has recently included new online slot launches in Portugal and Paraguay.
