vnlok new director 2026

VNLOK, the Dutch trade association for licensed online gambling providers, has announced the appointment of Rosemarijn Dral as its new director. Dral, a former member of the Netherlands’ House of Representatives (2024–2025), brings nearly two decades of political and administrative experience to the organization.

A Career Rooted in Public Service

Dral’s career with the People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) began in 2005. She served as an alderman for the municipality of Oostzaan from 2018 to 2024 before ascending to national parliament. VNLOK stated that her selection was driven by her profound administrative expertise and her commitment to social responsibility.

VNLOK Chairman Björn Fuchs commented on the strategic hire:

“Rosemarijn Dral has a keen eye for social responsibility, combined with extensive experience in the political and administrative domains. With this, she strengthens VNLOK in a market that is rapidly evolving and in which cooperation is essential to properly protect consumers and effectively combat illegal supply.”

Mission: Responsibility and Transparency

In her new capacity, Dral will lead VNLOK’s engagement with members like Holland Casino and bet365, as well as government regulators and addiction care providers. She aims to facilitate a fact-based dialogue to contribute to political decision-making.

Dral stated regarding her vision:

“The regulation of online gambling touches upon important societal themes such as consumer protection and enforcement. I see it as my mission to work with members, the government, and regulators on policies that truly contribute to responsible and safe gaming in practice.”

VNLOK continues to advocate for measured regulation, recently arguing against blanket marketing bans that could potentially drive consumers toward the unregulated black market.
