Sportech appointment of three new directors

Sportech has announced the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors: Victor Bigio, Stephen Castagna, and Mike Burris.

This strategic move is intended to bolster the company’s leadership team with diverse expertise to support its ongoing financial stability and drive future market growth in the global gaming landscape.

Victor Bigio joins the board as an Independent Non-Executive Director, bringing over two decades of high-level experience in the iGaming and sports betting industries.

His impressive resume includes a recent tenure as Director of Business Development for North America at Sportradar, where he was instrumental in shaping product development, partnerships, and go-to-market strategies.

Bigio has also provided expert consultancy to international operators on complex matters such as compliance, customer engagement, and regulated market entry in North America.

The other two appointments come from within the company. Stephen Castagna, who has served as Sportech’s Group Finance Manager for the past six years, will now take a seat on the Board.

Castagna has been credited with significantly strengthening the company’s fiscal discipline and contributing to its growth initiatives. His new role will see him focus on guiding the business toward long-term financial sustainability.

Finally, Mike Burris, who has been Sportech’s Sports Betting Manager since the legalization of sports wagering in the US, also joins the Board.

Burris has played a pivotal role in advancing the company’s retail betting technology, particularly in Connecticut, and has been focused on anticipating industry trends to enhance customer solutions.

These appointments reflect Sportech’s dedication to assembling a world-class team to navigate future opportunities.

Richard McGuire, Executive Chairman of Sportech:

“These appointments reflect Sportech’s dedication to assembling a world-class leadership team to navigate the opportunities within the global gaming landscape. With Stephen’s financial expertise, Victor’s industry insight and Mike’s innovative leadership, Sportech is well-positioned to capitalise on emerging opportunities and deliver unparalleled value to its stakeholders.”
