Leadership transition and Golden Entertainment departure
Skylar Dice has concluded an 11-year tenure with Golden Entertainment to accept a new executive position with Boyd Gaming. Formerly serving as the senior vice president and general manager of The STRAT Hotel, Casino and Tower, Dice announced the start of his next professional chapter at the beginning of October. He will assume responsibilities as vice president and general manager of Aliante Casino Hotel Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Reflecting on his departure from his previous post, Dice stated on LinkedIn:
“I am incredibly grateful for my time at The STRAT and for the opportunity to lead such an iconic Las Vegas property. More than anything, I am thankful for the people I have had the privilege to work alongside. I have learned a tremendous amount, built relationships I will carry with me and had experiences that helped shape me as a leader.”
Strategic outlook and executive commentary
Turning to his new organization, Dice highlighted Boyd Gaming‘s established presence within the regional market. He noted:
“Boyd has a long history in Las Vegas and a reputation for strong operations, great people and developing leaders. I am looking forward to joining the team, learning the property and the organisation and building on the success already happening at Aliante.”
Dice added:
“I leave The STRAT proud of what we accomplished together and genuinely excited about what is ahead.”
The executive transition follows a series of recent leadership developments at Boyd Gaming, including the announcement last week that Cassie Stratford joined the company as senior vice president and general counsel.
