Former Haier Europe Executive Joins Electronic Table Game Supplier Amid Ongoing C-Suite Leadership Overhaul
Interblock Gaming has appointed Marco Balliano as its new Chief Operating Officer and President for the EMEA region. Bringing extensive leadership experience from his previous role as general manager of the Food Preparation and Built-In Business Unit at Haier Europe Group, owner of brands such as Hoover, Balliano will oversee manufacturing planning, quality assurance, procurement, and service operations for the electronic table game supplier.
Based primarily at Interblock’s facility in Mengeš, Slovenia, Balliano will also divide significant time between operations in the Americas and Asia-Pacific. He is slated to join the executive delegation traveling to Las Vegas for G2E later this month.
Continuing C-Suite Evolution
Balliano’s appointment marks the latest milestone in a broader executive reorganization at Interblock. The company previously named Kay Oswald as CEO in July following the departure of John Connelly in February, and appointed Kristin Bisignano as chief people and culture officer in August.
Interblock Gaming official statement:
“We’re pleased to welcome Marco Balliano to Interblock as Chief Operating Officer and President, EMEA. Marco will lead key areas across global operations, quality, service, procurement, and EMEA commercial performance, bringing greater focus, discipline, and accountability across the organization. With more than 30 years of leadership experience across the EMEA durable goods industry, Marco brings deep operational and commercial expertise as we continue strengthening the customer experience at every stage of our business.”
Commenting on his new role, Marco Balliano stated:
“What struck me about Interblock is the pride the teams take in the product and how close they are to their customers. That’s a strong foundation and we’ll build on it together, continuing on the path this company has set and raising the standard as we grow.”
