ZEAL Network SE, Germany’s market leader in online lotteries, has announced the appointment of Dr. Stefan Tweraser as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective September 15, 2025.
Dr. Tweraser, 55, will join the Management Board on August 25, 2025, ahead of assuming the CEO role. The selection follows a comprehensive search, bringing in a leader with a distinguished international career.
He most recently served as CEO of the German aerospace firm Rocket Factory Augsburg AG.
His extensive resume includes over two decades of leadership experience, featuring key roles such as Country Director for the DACH region at Google, Vice President at Telekom Austria AG, and Partner at the prestigious consulting firm McKinsey & Company.
An Austrian citizen, Dr. Tweraser holds a doctorate in economics and is also a qualified psychotherapist. His diverse background in technology, digital media, and strategic consulting is poised to guide ZEAL Network in its next phase of growth.

The appointment marks the succession of Dr. Helmut Becker, who chose not to renew his contract to pursue his own entrepreneurial projects.
Dr. Becker will officially resign on September 14, 2025, but will remain with the company in a consulting capacity through the end of January 2026 to ensure a seamless transition of leadership.
The leadership transition comes as the company experiences a period of remarkable financial success.
In a testament to its strong performance, ZEAL reported an 88% increase in EBITDA this past March, a period in which its lottery billings also surpassed the €1 billion ($1.1 billion) threshold for the first time.
