Bragg Gaming Group has announced a major executive leadership update to accelerate its transition into an AI-driven technology supplier, appointing Morten Tonnesen, co-founder of BetWarrior and former PokerStars executive, as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO).

The Path to “AI-First” Status

Tonnesen is charged with delivering on Bragg’s ambitious goal: becoming an AI-first company by 2027. The roadmap is aggressive, with the supplier aiming for “AI-enhanced products” to be standard in over 90% of new launches. Additionally, Bragg plans to integrate AI into 75% of its internal operational workflows.

Alongside Tonnesen’s appointment, Garrick Morris has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Global Content. Morris will focus specifically on North American expansion, following a 2025 where Bragg’s content business grew by 69% through key deals with Hard Rock Bet and Caesars Entertainment.

Operational Leverage and Market Convergence

Bragg CEO Matevž Mazij emphasized the strategic weight of these appointments:

“We believe their contributions will strengthen our ability to deliver operational leverage, meet our goals to streamline internal processes, enhance overall efficiency across our organisation and advance us further along the path toward EBITDA growth and net profitability. We also believe that we are uniquely positioned to provide the robust igaming ecosystems required by leading players in the evolving historical and live racing and prediction markets. We believe Bragg will stand out as the sole B2B provider operating at the convergence of igaming, sports and predictions.”

By streamlining operations under Morten Tonnesen and scaling content under Morris, Bragg is positioning itself as the primary B2B bridge between traditional iGaming and the high-growth prediction market vertical.
