Former Playtech and ADM Executive Joins Lottery-Led Entertainment Giant to Spearhead Global Player Protection Strategy
Allwyn AG has announced the appointment of Francesco Rodano as its new Group Head of Responsible Gaming. Rodano brings an extensive international background spanning public policy, regulation, and technological innovation to the lottery-led gaming entertainment company, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to player safety and sustainable business practices.
Rodano joins Allwyn after spending a decade at Playtech, where he directed a global initiative focused on player protection, business sustainability, and the implementation of an award-winning, AI-driven behavioral analytics platform. Prior to his tenure at Playtech, he served for nearly ten years as the Director of Remote Gaming at Italy’s regulatory authority, the Agenzia Dogane e Monopoli (ADM). In that role, he established the country’s national online gaming framework and collaborated extensively with regulators across international borders.
Commitment to Player Safety and Responsible Growth
The appointment aligns with Allwyn’s proactive approach to player safety across its global operations. All of Allwyn’s lottery businesses currently meet Level 4 of the World Lottery Association’s responsible gaming framework, representing the highest level of accreditation achievable. Furthermore, the company actively implements its “Play the Right Way” campaign across its markets and recently announced the inaugural recipients of the Allwyn Player Protection Lab awards, which provide up to €100,000 in funding for two independent research projects dedicated to advancing player safety.
