The Rank Group has announced another successful year of fundraising for its long-standing charity partner, Carers Trust, raising an impressive total of more than £400,000.

The achievement surpasses the company’s £351,000 goal for the period between July 2024 and June 2025 and marks a new milestone in a partnership that has generated over £4 million since it began in 2014.

The funds were raised through a diverse and spirited range of initiatives driven by dedicated staff from Rank’s flagship brands, Grosvenor Casino and Mecca Bingo.

Employees demonstrated remarkable commitment by participating in physically demanding events such as the London and Chester marathons, various walking and cycling challenges, and tough mudders. Some even took part in head-shaving initiatives to generate donations.

The money raised will be distributed across a network of approximately 130 local carer organizations, providing essential support for unpaid carers in the form of respite breaks and grants for critical household items.

Beyond fundraising, Rank employees also demonstrated their support by volunteering their time in December to wrap Christmas presents for individuals within the Carers Trust network.

Mark Harper, Managing Director at Grosvenor, shared his personal experience with the charity’s work.

Being able to sit on the Carers Trust Grant panel was an opportunity that was both humbling and at the same time life-affirming. It brought home the challenges that many people face when caring for loved ones, yet at the same time the selfless way in which they approach this. I am grateful to have been able to help in some small way, but moreover, take great pride in the work that our teams and customers do in supporting this great charity.

Kirsty McHugh, CEO of Carers Trust, highlighted the profound impact of the funds raised.

We’re delighted that Rank’s staff and customers have raised an incredible £400,000 for carers. This generous support has been a lifeline for thousands of people across the country who care for family and friends, often at the expense of their own wellbeing and finances. As more and more of us take on caring responsibilities, this help is more important than ever. We couldn’t be more grateful for Rank’s unwavering support and commitment to Carers Trust’s goal of making life better for carers everywhere.
