The Rank Group has announced a period of strong financial performance, posting an 11% year-on-year increase in like-for-like net gaming revenue (NGR) to £795.3 million for the 12 months ending June 30, 2025.

The positive revenue results were driven by growth across all of the operating divisions of the Rank Group, with its Grosvenor casinos up 14%, Digital operations rising 10%, Mecca venues up 5%, and its Enracha venues in Spain growing by 9%.

This top-line growth translated into a significant improvement in profitability. Underlying operating profit surged by 38% to £63.7 million, with margins improving from 6.5% to 8.0%.

The company’s statutory profit after tax saw a substantial increase, rising to £44.6 million from £12.0 million in the previous fiscal year. The strong performance has allowed the board to recommend a final dividend of 1.95p per share.

A key catalyst for future growth is the recent passing of land-based casino reforms in the UK. These long-awaited legislative changes will permit small casinos to increase their gaming machine allocations and allow for the introduction of sports betting in venues for the first time.

In response, Rank plans to significantly expand its offering by adding approximately 850 new gaming machines across 50 Grosvenor venues during the 2026 fiscal year. Sports betting will also be rolled out in 38 locations, a move designed to broaden the company’s customer appeal.

Chief Executive John O’Reilly commented on the results:

We have had another successful year, delivering revenue growth and profit ahead of our expectations.

He added that with the new reforms now delivered, “the Grosvenor business will benefit from higher gaming machine allocations and the introduction of sports betting, which will better meet existing customer needs and increase the attractiveness of casinos to a broader base of consumers.”

The company has started the new fiscal year strongly and expects to meet its current year targets.
