
Record Group-Wide Results Driven by Digital Entertainment and Casino Recovery
Konami Group Corp’s gaming and systems division, which encompasses casino equipment and management systems, returned to profitability in Q1 2026 of its financial year, supported by sharply higher revenue. This divisional recovery coincided with record group-wide first-quarter results driven primarily by the digital entertainment business.
For the quarter ended June 30, revenue in the games and systems segment reached nearly JPY12.39 billion (approximately $75.8 million), marking a 64.9% annual increase compared to JPY7.51 billion during the same period last year. The division posted a business profit of JPY827 million, reversing a loss of JPY166 million recorded in the first quarter of 2025.
Product Performance and Market Expansion
Konami highlighted strong product performance across international markets, driven by new casino openings and replacement demand. Key highlights include:
- Slot Cabinets and Content: Strong market feedback for the Solstice 49C cabinet, alongside outperformance from the Bomberman series in North America.
- Australian Market: Positive reception for the Bull Rush Stampede series.
- Synkros Adoption: Increasing integration of the Synkros casino management system across land-based facilities and cruise ships operated by Carnival Corp.
On a consolidated basis, Konami Group’s revenue for the period ending June 30 climbed 33.6% to JPY129.52 billion, while overall profit surged 64.2% to JPY32.57 billion.
