Philippine Gaming Giant Strengthens International Footprint as It Evaluates New Regulatory Frameworks
As DigiPlus Interactive Corp. continues to scale its operations across Brazil and South Africa while preparing for potential market entry in New Zealand, the company has officially appointed global advisory firm Teneo as its strategic adviser.
Teneo will provide specialized strategic guidance to help DigiPlus evaluate foreign market opportunities, navigate complex regulatory environments, and assess potential risks. While the specific financial terms and duration of the engagement were not disclosed, the partnership marks a major step in bolstering the operator’s international corporate structure.
New Zealand Market Entry Under Review
The advisory appointment comes less than two weeks after the DigiPlus board approved filing an expression of interest for an online gaming license in New Zealand. Under the country’s new regulatory framework, which provides for up to 15 online casino licenses and is scheduled to open on December 1, 2026, New Zealand could soon become DigiPlus’ third major overseas market.
While the company has not yet confirmed whether its expression of interest will result in a formal license, Teneo’s expertise will assist in assessing the regulatory landscape and overseeing strategic next steps.
Expanding Operations in Brazil and South Africa
The collaboration coincides with ongoing development across DigiPlus’ established international markets outside the Philippines:
- Brazil: DigiPlus holds a federal license covering online gaming and fixed-odds betting. After initially launching its GamePlus brand in September 2025 and pausing operations, the company re-entered the market under its established BingoPlus brand and joined the Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming in July.
- South Africa: The company secured three key licenses from the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board in April—comprising a National Manufacturer License, a Bookmaker License, and a Bookmaker Premises License—following initial filings in September 2025.
Singapore Hub and Domestic Core
To support its aggressive international growth, DigiPlus established DigiPlus Global Pte. Ltd. in Singapore in 2025. This regional subsidiary acts as a vital corporate hub for managing overseas partnerships, talent recruitment, and cross-border corporate operations.
Meanwhile, DigiPlus maintains a strong domestic foundation in the Philippines, continuing to successfully operate its core digital gaming brands, including BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone. With Teneo on board as a strategic adviser, DigiPlus is well-positioned to evaluate market conditions and ensure compliance across its expanding global portfolio.
