Sunbet, the digital sports betting arm of Sun International, announced on October 20, 2026, that it has extended its long-standing platform partnership with Bede Gaming. The renewal follows a period of robust digital expansion for the South Africa-based operator.
The agreement builds upon Sun International’s H1 2026 financial update, which revealed a 36% year-on-year revenue increase for the digital division alongside a 43% overall rise in iGaming gross gaming revenue. The latest contract extends what both companies characterize as a near ten-year commercial relationship.
Scaling across African regulated markets
Powered by Bede’s configurable platform solution, Sunbet has successfully scaled its digital operations beyond South Africa into Botswana and Namibia. The scalable infrastructure allows the operator to deploy localized gaming offerings efficiently across multiple regulatory environments.
Simon Gregory, Sunbet Chief Executive Officer said:
“We have big aspirations for our digital brand, which now operates across three markets and is delivering impressive results. Bede has continued to support our ambitions and digital growth year after year, with commendable collaboration and proactivity at all levels of the business. We have a lot to celebrate together, and a lot of exciting work in our roadmap ahead.”
Expanding product and technology integrations
Throughout the multi-year collaboration, Bede has supported Sunbet through continuous product development and technical integrations. These enhancements include embedding third-party solutions such as Kambi’s sportsbook engine and Xtremepush’s customer relationship management platform.
Kirsty Stewart, Bede Chief Legal & Client Success Officer added:
“We are very proud of the relationship we have continued to grow and foster with Sunbet. It’s been rewarding to witness the incredible success that our partner has experienced during our time working together.”
