More specifically, the games will be broadcast exclusively for US audiences on FanDuel TV+ and FanDuel TV Extra, which is FanDuel’s free-to-access OTT media platform.

Consequently, this partnership will give US basketball enthusiasts access to watch European basketball games for free, thus expanding the reach of the Euroleague and with that, further broadening its global presence.

The collaboration between FanDuel and the Euroleague is meant to bring close European basketball via an easy-to-access platform, which in turn is set to showcase the excitement and talent of European basketball clubs close to US fans.

Mike Raffensperger, President of Sports at FanDuel, highlighted the unique opportunity to bring European basketball close to the USA, which is known as one of the top countries when it comes to this sport:

We’re always looking to enhance FanDuel TV’s lineup with engaging live sports content, and EuroLeague has become an exciting draw for our users. This agreement will boost visibility for Europe’s top basketball league and deliver even more exciting watch-and-wager opportunities to our audience.

Similar to this, Alex Ferrer Kristjansson, Chief Officer of Marketing and Communication at Euroleague Basketball, echoed the sentiment by saying that FanDuel provides the perfect platform to expand the global presence of the League, especially in the US:

This agreement with FanDuel is a major step in expanding our footprint outside the pan-European ecosystem. By bringing the EuroLeague to US audiences, we’re unlocking new opportunities to grow our fan base and connect with basketball enthusiasts on a global level.

Thanks to this deal, US fans can tune in to one game from each of the 34 EuroLeague Regular Season rounds via FanDuel TV Extra and FanDuel TV+. The platform is available through popular streaming services like Roku, Pluto TV, and The Roku Channel, as well as directly via FanDuel’s website and app.
