Play'n GO Land Based Expansion

In a landmark achievement during its 20th anniversary year, the world’s leading casino entertainment provider, Play’n GO, has today announced the launch of its market-leading games in land-based casinos for the first time in the company’s distinguished history.

This significant expansion from the digital realm to physical casino floors is the result of a comprehensive partnership between the Swedish gaming giant and the global casino operator, Genting.

The debut is powered by BOOM Slots, a new and exclusive cabinet developed for Genting’s properties. An initial selection of 13 of Play’n GO’s most iconic online slot titles are now available on these machines, including globally recognized games like Rich Wilde and the Book of DeadReactoonzHoney Rush 100, and Buildin’ Bucks.

This full-scale launch follows a highly successful trial period of more than six months, during which the games were live at Genting’s renowned Resorts World Casino in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

The rollout is now accelerating to include over 30 of Genting’s casino properties across the UK, among them London’s largest casino, Genting Stratford. The full deployment of the initial batch of 13 Play’n GO games is scheduled to be completed by December.

Genting is one of the world’s most prominent land-based casino operators, with a portfolio of premium properties that stretches from Las Vegas to Malaysia.

From its beginnings creating casino games for mobile phones before the invention of the smartphone, Play’n GO has grown into a premier supplier of entertainment to the casino industry, offering over 400 premium game titles to operators in more than 35 regulated jurisdictions worldwide.

Johan Törnqvist, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Play’n GO, commented on the land based expansion:

“This is a historic day for Play’n GO and the culmination of a vision that both Genting and Play’n GO share – to bring the best of online casino content and features to casino floors worldwide.

“Play’n GO’s mission is to ‘create innovative and entertaining gaming experiences everywhere’. We are excited to expand the definition of ‘everywhere’ to include land-based casinos for the first time.

“The vision for our new land-based business is distinctly Play’n GO flavoured – ambitious, innovative, and meticulously planned to meet the business challenges and opportunities of the future. We think there is an opportunity for 10s of thousands of cabinets featuring Play’n GO content globally.

“Genting have been a brilliant partner throughout this project and we’re looking forward to working closely with their fantastic teams to build on this initial UK-facing rollout to ensure it’s a success.”

Stuart Armstrong, Product Director at Genting, added:

“Differentiation in a crowded land-based casino sector is vital. The launch of our new and exclusive BOOM slots product gives Genting a compelling gaming experience that no other casino can offer.

“Play’n GO’s reputation in the industry is second to none, and through this partnership we’ve been able to witness firsthand their agility and innovation to help bring this product to life.

“We know from our trial period that Play’n GO’s well known online casino content is attractive to players in land-based spaces too and we can’t wait to roll this out to all of our UK properties soon.”
