The Gaming in Germany Conference, scheduled for November 11 in Berlin, has announced the addition of several new speakers to its comprehensive agenda.

The keynote address for the event will be delivered by Sebastian Buchholz, the Head of Licensing and Market Supervision at Germany’s national gambling regulator, the Gemeinsame Glückspielbehörde der Länder (GGL).

The operator perspective will be strongly featured at this year’s conference.

Confirmed speakers include Christian Heins, Director of iGaming at Tipico; Alex Green, Vice President of Games at ZEAL Network; and Ewout Keuleers, former General Counsel for Kindred Group, all of whom are set to appear at the event.

Attendees will also hear from key German and European trade associations.

Contributions will be made by Dr. Dirk Quermann, President of the Deutscher Online Casinoverband (DOCV); Mathias Dahms, President of the Deutscher Sportwettenverband (DSWV); and Maarten Haijer, Secretary General of the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA).

Willem van Oort, Founder of Gaming in Germany commented:

“I am extremely pleased with this year’s speaker lineup. I think it speaks of the relevance of our event, and especially the key topics that we are highlighting this year: the threat of the black market and the evaluation of the 2021 State Gambling Treaty. I see that licensed operators are highly committed to making the German iGaming market more sustainable and competitive and I am very happy that we are trusted to play a role in promoting fruitful discussion and debate on these topics.”

van Oort added:

“As the event takes place while the evaluation of the 2021 State Gambling Treaty is ongoing, this is certainly the time to be part of the conversation.”

Breakout Program and Networking Opportunities

Beyond its main program, the Gaming in Germany Conference will offer several practical breakout sessions. These will cover topics such as data compliance, game certification, responsible gaming, live casino, eSports, and more.

The complete agenda, including the breakout sessions, is now available.

In addition to a full schedule of content, the conference will provide ample networking opportunities during a pre-conference dinner, coffee breaks, lunch, and concluding networking drinks.

Practical Information

The 2025 Gaming in Germany Conference will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the DoubleTree Hilton Ku’damm in Berlin, located just 100 meters from the Kurfürstendamm.

Registration for the 2025 Gaming in Germany Conference is currently open.
