Martin Carlesund was born in 1970 and studied computer science, law and mathematics before earning a Master of Science in Finance, with studies at the University of Borås, the Gothenburg School of Economics and Linköping University. He began his career as a developer at the Swedish telecoms group Ericsson and, at 29, became the youngest CEO of a public company in Sweden. He went on to lead businesses including the Eniro Yellow Pages operations in Sweden and Finland, Highlight Media Group and 3L System, gaining experience across telecoms, media and mergers and acquisitions. He joined Evolution in 2015 as CEO of its Malta operation and succeeded co-founder Jens von Bahr as Group CEO in 2016, building Evolution into the world-leading live-casino supplier.
