The Wisconsin Lottery has officially selected Brightstar Lottery PLC (the lottery division recently rebranded from IGT) to deploy a state-of-the-art integrated technology platform aimed at modernizing its entire retail and digital ecosystem.

The contract carries an initial eight-year term, with potential extensions and renewals that could span a total of 20 years.

Digital Transformation via OMNIA™

At the heart of the agreement is the deployment of the OMNIA™ platform, a system designed to unify retail and digital sales channels into a single, cohesive infrastructure.

This integration allows for streamlined operational management and enhanced player engagement across all touchpoints. As part of the digital overhaul, Brightstar will also revitalize the Wisconsin Lottery’s mobile application, bringing its functionality in line with modern iGaming expectations.

Scott Gunn, Brightstar Lottery PLC Chief Operating Officer North America Lottery, remarked on the long-standing relationship:

“Since our partnership began in 1988, we have supported the Wisconsin Lottery in generating more than $20 billion in revenue… We are excited to deliver our latest technology solutions… that will continue to responsibly propel lottery sales and entertain players.”

Next-Generation Retail Hardware

In addition to the software backend, Brightstar will install new, high-efficiency retailer hardware across the state. This includes the Retailer Pro S2 terminal and the GameFlex 48 self-service vending machine, which are designed to improve operational speed and player convenience.

Cindy Polzin, Wisconsin Lottery Director, expressed her optimism for the future of the partnership:

“The Wisconsin Lottery looks forward to working with Brightstar to help us continuously evolve our lottery solutions to maximize player engagement with this new contract.”
