The Ukrainian State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) has issued a statement revealing that it has detained a certain Director of Pin-Up, a leading online gaming operator.

According to the official statement, an investigation into the Director in question has found that the owners of Pin-Up are citizens of the Russian Federation, despite the fact that they have obtained the necessary license to legally offer online casino services.

The State Bureau of Investigation did not publish the name of the Director, but it stated that the SBI has “been informed of suspicion of aiding the aggressor state”. At the moment of writing, there is a pre-trial investigation ongoing to determine the extent of the involvement of Pin-Up and other upper-management individuals.

Moreover, the official press release of the SBI highlights a direct link between the individuals subject to sanctions in Ukraine and representatives from the Russian Federation, stating that “financial flows” were used for the purpose of supporting the “aggressor’s budget”.

Additionally, the SBI also said that the accused individual who was in charge of overseeing the activities of Pin-Up was also involved in financing the so-called “svo” veterans from Russia.

The investigation conducted by the Ukrainian government also found that the online casino in question is still active in Russia and offers its services on a list of Russian websites.

On top of the legal probe, the court also granted the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office and the State Bureau of Investigation to transfer the funds seized from the assets of Pin-Up to the Asset Recover and Management Agency (ARMA).

In related news, last week, the CEO of Pin-Up Global, Marina Illina, denied recent allegations made against the owner of Pin-Up Ukraine operator, which accused the owner of aiding and abetting Russia, as well as high treason.
