Exciting news emerges from Italy as the iGaming giant Stake.com has just acquired Idealbet from the Octavian Group, one of the largest online casinos in the country, further expanding its already strong presence on the Apennine Peninsula.

This deal went down after Stake finalized the total obtainment of Baldo Line, a company that operated the umbrella of the Octavian Group. Baldo Line holds an Italian gaming license which allows this operator to legally provide its services within Italy.

By purchasing Baldo Line, Stake automatically acquired the Italian-based remote gaming and sports betting operator Idealbet, and as a result, intends to open up an office in the same region in order to establish a stronger local presence.

Consequently, Idealbet will proceed to operate under its own recognizable brand, only under the rich portfolio of Stake. Given the magnitude and the reputation of both Stake on a global level and Idealbet in Italy, this collaboration is expected to further elevate the status as leading operators of these two in the years to come.

As per the words of Brais Pena, the Chief Strategy Officier of Easygo (the corporation behind Stake), by acquiring Idealbet, Stake perfectly positions itself with its global ambitions to further expand its presence across the planet, and establish itself as the number one brand in the business:

This acquisition aligns with our strategic ambitions to increase our global footprint, particularly in an established region like Italy, and marks a significant milestone for Stake. We’re thrilled to work with Idealbet to provide the best experience for our customers.

Simone Pachera, CEO of Octavian, doesn’t hide the excitement of collaborating with Stake.com and underlines the reputation of the iGaming giant as a key factor when it comes to further cementing the spot of Idealbet as one of the most exciting, go-to operators in Italy:

Now, we are thrilled to transition operations to Stake, a globally renowned brand with a proven track record of delivering exceptional player experience. We are confident that Stake will significantly enhance the growth of Idealbet and bring renewed energy to our players, as well as the entire Italian online gaming market.

This latest business deal between Stake and Octavian only highlights the booming Italian market which constantly ends up in the news for similar reasons. One perfect example is last month’s partnership between Wazdan and SK365, which saw the former also expand its European presence by going live with a top Italian iGaming brand.
