One of the major gambling providers in the world, Betway, has finalized the deal they signed with the NBA franchise Cleveland Cavaliers, thus becoming partners. This multi-year deal is another good example of the many newly forged business partnerships in the gambling industry. Regardless of the motives behind this cooperation, one thing is 100% certain. Partnerships are the right way for two brands to mutually assist each other in tackling the competition.

This deal is set to see Betway‘s branding featured at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. In addition to branding on the court itself. Moreover, the Betway logo is already visible on the LED signs on the courtside as well. Additionally, Betway will be the main partner of CavsHQ next season. CavsHQ is the team’s official TV show which runs on Fox Sports, Ohio. Consequently, you can expect to see their logo on almost every social and digital platform of the Cavaliers.

In addition to the official Cavaliers App run by Westfield. And since Betway has always been a supporter of helping people with disabilities, they will also be one of the main supporting partners of the Cleveland Wheelchair Cavaliers.

When asked about the deal by the press, Betway chief executive Anthony Werkman gave the following statement:

To sum it up, these types of partnerships are nothing new. In fact, especially with this pandemic situation, that doesn’t look to end soon. With that situation, we are sure that more and more such partnerships will form. What is particularly interesting here is that we have a betting company in Betway, with a sponsorship deal with the NBA team Cleveland Cavaliers. And mind that the Cavs are from the state of Ohio(where gambling is still now legal, for now at least). And despite this issue, Betway made a free-to-play game called ‘Betway Big Pick’ for all Cleveland Cavaliers fans.

The goal is to embed itself among the US fans permanently. Thus when the time is right and gambling is legal in Ohio, Betway is sure to have a strong presence. This will definitely be an advantage against the other gambling giants who will come in later. And all thanks to this partnership deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
