MGM Resorts International has released its financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2026, demonstrating operational resilience across its global portfolio despite lower room rates on the Las Vegas Strip during the period.
The company posted consolidated revenue of $4.2 billion, representing a slight 1% decrease compared to the third quarter of 2025. Net loss attributable to MGM Resorts saw a substantial improvement, narrowing to $17 million compared to a net loss of $285 million in the prior-year quarter. Consolidated Adjusted EBITDA stood at $403 million, while diluted loss per share improved to $0.07.
Commenting on the results, Bill Hornbuckle, President and CEO of MGM Resorts International, stated:
“MGM Resorts remains highly focused on the successful operations of our businesses. Our trailing twelve months Las Vegas Strip Resorts Segment Adjusted EBITDAR has grown by nearly 70% since calendar year 2019 and, while lower room rates during the third quarter impacted our results, October has rebounded favorably. Our diverse portfolio remains an advantage, with MGM China achieving 5% revenue growth and strong market share performance, while our digital businesses, including our BetMGM North America Venture and MGM Digital, reported strong topline growth during the third quarter.”
Segment performance across Vegas, regional markets, and digital
The Las Vegas Strip Resorts segment generated $2.0 billion in revenue, down 2% year-on-year, with Segment Adjusted EBITDAR reaching $531 million. Key gaming statistics for the Strip showed positive momentum in table games, where win increased 17% to $363 million, while slot win rose 2% to $582 million. Regional Operations recorded revenue of $883 million and Segment Adjusted EBITDAR of $243 million, reflecting stable same-store performance.
International operations in Asia proved robust, with MGM China delivering $1.1 billion in revenue, a 5% increase compared to the prior-year quarter, accompanied by Segment Adjusted EBITDAR of $264 million. Meanwhile, MGM Digital (comprising LeoVegas and other interactive gaming subsidiaries) reported a 6% revenue increase to $184 million, alongside a narrowed Segment Adjusted EBITDAR loss of $4 million. Unconsolidated affiliates, led by the BetMGM North America Venture, contributed $26.7 million in operating income.
Strategic capital allocation and shareholder value
Jonathan Halkyard, Chief Financial Officer of MGM Resorts International, highlighted the financial framework supporting future growth:
“The amended voting agreement announced earlier today establishes a highly supportive framework that enables MGM Resorts to confidently pursue value-creating share repurchases as part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing shareholder value and driving longer-term growth. The combination of our attractive stock valuation, the repurchase of nearly half of our outstanding share count over the past five years, and pivotal growth drivers, including our digital portfolio and MGM Osaka, positions the company as a premier long-term opportunity.”
