Online betting and casino operator Midnite has expanded its existing collaboration with the World Snooker Tour (WST), securing status as the official UK betting and casino partner across all three prestigious Triple Crown events. The agreement adds the UK Championship to Midnite’s sponsorship portfolio, complementing its ongoing partnerships with the World Snooker Championship and the Masters.
The upcoming UK Championship is scheduled to run from November 28 to December 6, 2026, at the York Barbican. Established in 1977, the tournament features a 32-player field comprising the world’s top 16 ranked players alongside 16 qualifiers. Marking a significant milestone for the event, the tournament will offer a record prize fund of £1.5 million, up from £1.2 million in 2025, with the eventual champion set to claim a top prize of £312,500.
Midnite’s comprehensive sponsorship footprint now officially spans the York-based UK Championship, the Masters held at Alexandra Palace, and the World Championship staged at Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre.
Executive commentary on snooker partnership
Callum Wilson, Senior PR Manager at Midnite, commented on the expanded agreement:
“Snooker has been a fantastic sport for us to be involved with, and we’re really excited to be extending our partnership with the World Snooker Tour to cover all three Triple Crown events. We’ve already had some great experiences working with WST through the World Championship and the Masters, so adding the UK Championship feels like a natural next step for us.”
Wilson added:
“These are the three tournaments that every snooker player dreams of winning, and they mean a huge amount to fans as well. To have Midnite involved in all three is something we’re really proud of. We’ve enjoyed building our relationship with WST and we’re excited to keep that going, finding new ways to get involved in the sport and bring fans closer to the action.”
Strengthening ties with professional sports
The expanded alliance underscores Midnite’s commitment to aligning its brand with elite sporting competitions that command strong fan engagement and viewership. By cementing its presence across the Triple Crown series, the operator aims to deepen its connection with snooker enthusiasts through targeted digital activations and exclusive fan experiences throughout the tournament calendar.
