The SBC Summit Lisbon 2026 officially concludes, wrapping up three high-energy days at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa (FIL) and MEO Arena. Marking its third consecutive year in the Portuguese capital, the event cemented its reputation as the premier global gathering for the sports betting and iGaming industry, bringing together tens of thousands of professionals to discuss the future of the sector.
Record-Breaking Numbers and Scale
This year’s summit shattered previous benchmarks, drawing 40,000 delegates from more than 150 countries. The massive turnout was bolstered by participation from over 11,000 confirmed operators and 800 exhibitors and sponsors showcasing cutting-edge technology, compliance solutions, and emerging iGaming trends.
The expanded agenda introduced dedicated forums, including a standalone Affiliate Leaders Summit, the Global Prediction Markets Forum, and the African Gaming Forum, alongside a comprehensive networking program featuring regulatory meetups and curated matchmaking.
Star-Studded Keynotes Led by Michael Jordan
The event kicked off with a major headline moment on the Super Stage at the MEO Arena, where global sports icon Michael Jordan made a special appearance. Taking the stage alongside Sportradar CEO Carsten Koerl and DraftKings CEO Jason Robins, Jordan participated in a wide-ranging keynote discussion moderated by broadcaster Kirsty Gallacher.
The trio explored the evolution of fan engagement, the convergence of sports and technology, and the changing role of modern athletes. Reflecting on his involvement in the industry, Jordan highlighted authenticity, stating: “When I get involved in deals, be it with Sportradar or DraftKings, I need to know it’s authentic to what represents me. I know I’ll be used as a marketing vehicle. The consumer has to connect to that.”
As the conference concluded with the annual SBC Awards ceremony, attendees and organizers celebrated a milestone event that pushed boundaries across technology, regulation, and entertainment.
