Casino and Sportsbook Operator Signs Agreement Ahead of the Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico’s 69th Season
Winpot has signed an immediate sponsorship agreement with the professional baseball team Tomateros de Culiacán, marking the operator’s official entry into sports sponsorship. The partnership comes as the Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico (LMP) approaches its Opening Night on October 14. The Tomateros will kick off the league’s 69th season on the road against Venados de Mazatlán before returning to Culiacán for their home opener the following evening.
Founded in 1965, Tomateros de Culiacán boasts a rich history with 13 LMP championships and Caribbean Series titles in 1996 and 2002. The club plays its home fixtures at the 20,000-capacity Estadio Tomateros, which opened in 2015. Operating under the Wiztech platform to provide casino and sportsbook services in Mexico, Winpot aims to leverage this collaboration to connect with passionate local sports fans.
Executive Perspectives
Yoni Sidi, CEO of Winpot, commented on the milestone:
“We had been looking to venture into sports sponsorship for some time, and it was essential for us that our first partnership be with a club that holds such deep roots in its community. In Culiacán, Tomateros is a fundamental part of family life, and the atmosphere inside Estadio Tomateros on a big game night is unmatched. We have additional sports partnerships planned in our pipeline, so more news will be coming soon.”
Ray Padilla, Sports Director of Tomateros de Culiacán, added:
“Our fans demand the absolute highest standard from this club, and we hold ourselves to that exact same expectation. We’ve worked tirelessly over the summer to build a roster capable of contending for the championship, and having corporate partners who share and support that vision provides a great boost. Winpot truly understands the Mexican sports fan, and we are excited to have them on board as we prepare for Opening Night.”
