Established Operators Secure Five-Year Permit Extensions Valid Through September 2031
The Dutch Gaming Authority (Ksa) has successfully issued the first eight follow-up licenses to prominent online gambling providers operating within the region. The initial wave of online gambling permits was originally granted back in 2021 following the formal legalization of the online market in the Netherlands.
With those foundational licenses scheduled to expire at the end of September 2026, the newly awarded follow-up permits establish a fresh operational framework valid from October 2026 through September 2031.
The comprehensive evaluation process conducted by the Ksa spanned a wide array of criteria. A notable addition to the follow-up licensing procedure involved the regulator explicitly scrutinizing any regulatory violations definitively established over the past five years.
License applicants were required to furnish detailed explanations regarding the corrective measures they implemented to address past infractions and ensure they would not reoccur. Based upon these thorough evaluations, the Ksa issued specific points of attention to several participating operators.
Ultimately, all eight applicant companies successfully fulfilled the stringent statutory requirements, ensuring their continued presence in the Dutch online gambling marketplace for the next half-decade.

The following eight entities have officially been awarded follow-up licenses by the KSA:

- NSUS Malta Limited (operating GG Poker)
- Betent BV (operating Betcity)
