
Former High5Games and GiG Technology Leader Joins Executive Team to Drive Digital Transformation in Helsinki
Finnish state-owned gaming company Veikkaus has announced the appointment of Chris Armes as its new Executive Vice President of Gaming Technologies and a member of the company’s Executive Team. Based at Veikkaus’ headquarters in Helsinki, Armes is scheduled to officially step into the role during the fall of 2026.
Extensive Industry Background and Leadership Experience
Armes brings extensive international experience in scaling iGaming technology platforms and leading operations in heavily regulated markets. He joins Veikkaus from international gaming technology company High5Games, where he directed technology and operational delivery across B2B and B2C sectors. Prior to that, his career included senior technology leadership positions at Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) and Scientific Games Digital, where he oversaw post-acquisition integrations such as the incorporation of NYX Gaming Group.
Throughout his career, Armes has specialized in cloud transformation, scalable digital architectures, cybersecurity, and AI-driven player protection. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Computing Science from Staffordshire University and is a recognized Chartered Engineer (CEng).
