iGaming Content Provider Strengthens Commercial Leadership Team with Industry Veteran to Drive International Expansion
iGaming content provider ICONIC21 has appointed Gary Francis as its new Director of Business Development, bringing over 15 years of industry experience to its commercial leadership team. Francis joins the company at a pivotal growth phase as ICONIC21 broadens its operator partnerships, expands its product portfolio across live casino, slots, and RNG games, and prepares to launch in several new regulated jurisdictions.
Bringing Extensive Industry Experience from Leading Brands
Throughout his career, Francis has built a strong reputation across both the operator and supplier sectors. Most recently, he served as Head of Commercial and Head of Account Management at BetGames, where he managed commercial relationships and drove account growth in key markets. His background also includes impactful positions at Pragmatic Play and bet365, cultivating core expertise in VIP account management, player engagement, and operational leadership.
Commenting on his appointment, Gary Francis stated:
“ICONIC21 is at a really exciting stage. The products are strong, the team is ambitious, and what they’ve achieved in such a short space of time speaks for itself. What attracted me was that it isn’t just big ambitions and promises – the company is already delivering. It felt like the right time to join, and I’m very much looking forward to being part of what comes next.”
Alina Mihaela Popa, Chief Commercial Officer at ICONIC21, added:
“Gary is the obvious person to take on this role since we are expanding quickly, our commercial pipeline is solid, and the regulated markets we plan to enter in the coming years need exactly the kind of experience and level of relationship that Gary has. He has worked at the top level with both operators and suppliers, and he knows what is required to set up and maintain the kind of partnerships that lead to long-term commercial growth. We are happy to have him joining us and are confident that his input will be highly noticeable.”
