BoyleSports’ Touch Bet: An Industry-Exclusive Touchscreen Interface in Collaboration with Spotlight Sports Group
BoyleSports has expanded its retail interactive footprint by launching Touch Bet, a new touchscreen betting interface deployed across its Digital Racing Post Shops estate. Officially announced on 7 July 2026, the product rollout was co-developed alongside B2B sports content and technology supplier Spotlight Sports Group.
The initial deployment phase operates on an industry-exclusive basis for BoyleSports, providing the operator’s physical retail venues with a proprietary mechanism to bridge land-based sports betting traffic with digital transactional platforms.
Omnichannel Integration and Data-Led UX Features
The underlying product design of Touch Bet aims to deliver a smoother, more efficient selection framework for horse racing customers interacting with physical retail points. Using the interactive Digital Racing Post display screens, players can browse up-to-date race meetings, evaluate data-led insights, and dynamically construct a racing bet slip.
Once a selection is formulated via the touchscreen interface, the customer can complete the transaction through two separate channels:
- Presenting the selection slip directly to shop staff at the counter to process cash or card wagers.
- Generating an on-screen QR code and scanning it via the native BoyleSports mobile application to process the wager digitally.
In Gamblers Connect’s assessment, this dual-path transactional logic functions as a critical bridge for omnichannel user acquisition. By overlaying premium interactive content onto the physical retail environment, operators can successfully convert traditional cash-in-hand counter players into digital account profiles, enhancing customer lifetime value (LTV) while defending retail market share.
Capital Investment and Portfolio Diversification
The Touch Bet rollout is positioned as a primary milestone within BoyleSports’ broader omnichannel market expansion strategy. This infrastructure upgrade follows a sweeping £100 million corporate investment poured into the United Kingdom market last year. The operator continues to capitalize on proprietary, data-led toolsets to distinguish its brand identity in a highly competitive wagering space, building upon existing native applications such as Smart ACCA, a data-driven accumulator optimization tool spanning football and horse racing events.
Philip Chubb, Retail Commercial Director at BoyleSports, highlighted how the exclusive deployment addresses evolving consumer demands for higher flexibility on the shop floor:
“Touch Bet is a major step forward for our racing customers and marks a significant milestone in our retail offering. We know customers want more control, more convenience and a smoother experience when placing their bets. With Touch Bet, they can browse, build and place their racing bets in the way that suits them, whether that’s at the counter or through our app.
“We’re especially proud that this is an industry-exclusive launch for BoyleSports. It gives our shop customers first access to a new way of betting and shows our continued commitment to investing in better retail and digital experiences.”
Jon Sanders, Head of Retail Development at Spotlight Sports Group, added that combining the operator’s brand equity with trusted Racing Post database modules yields a highly intuitive solution for modern retail spaces:
“BoyleSports’ Touch Bet represents a true first in the retail environment, combining the quality betting experience honed by BoyleSports with the premium Racing Post content presented on the Digital Display Screens. BoyleSports are the ideal partner to work alongside in developing and launching the product. By bringing the trusted expertise behind Racing Post onto the shop floor, we are giving customers a more intuitive and efficient way to build and place their bets. Retail remains a vital part of the betting experience, and we are proud to support BoyleSports as they continue to connect digital and in-shop betting.”
This technical rollout reinforces the systematic modernization of high-street sportsbooks, transforming standard static display spaces into interactive, consumer-led digital nodes.
