The Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) has issued an urgent public warning identifying a network of gambling websites operating under the name “GEM55” that are falsely claiming regulatory authorization.
In an official notice released on January 29, 2026, the CGA confirmed that these platforms are not licensed and have no legal standing to operate under its supervision.
Misuse of Digital Authorization Seals
Despite their lack of credentials, the GEM55 platforms have been found displaying the official CGA logo and mimicking the regulator’s Digital Authorisation Seal to deceive players into believing the sites are legitimate.
The Authority clarified the technical requirements for a genuine license:
- Visual Identification: A legitimate seal appears as a green box featuring white “CGA” lettering.
- Verification Link: When clicked, a valid seal must redirect users to an official certificate hosted on the cert.cga.cwdomain.
- Controlled Domain: The verification site is exclusively owned and managed by the regulator.
The GEM55 sites fail these basic security checks, using static images of the seal without providing the mandatory link to the official registry.

The CGA has identified several specific domains associated with this unauthorized activity:
- gem55.net
- gem55.org
- gem55rocks.com
- playgem55.com
- gem55my.com
The regulator strongly advises players to avoid these websites and warns against sharing personal or financial information with unverified entities.
