The SiGMA South Asia Awards took place this evening at the Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams Cumulus Ballroom.
An elegant reception opened the night, with the smooth sounds of saxophonist Krishan and slick entertainment from the Dark Shine Dancers – a dance troupe specialising in traditional dance moves. Later, guests sat down to a sumptuous dinner, during which 20 award categories were presented.
Innovation was a running theme throughout the evening – highlights included recognition of outstanding entrepreneurship, with crypto entrepreneur and investor Evan Luthra picking up the award for his efforts in the sector.
Standing at the crossroads between tech and creativity, Evan Luthra, is renowned for his forward-thinking work in the blockchain and entertainment sectors. As he says, “The best way to predict the future is to build it”. Luthra is also a Forbes 30 under 30 winner.

Meanwhile it was no surprise to see some of the most respected names in the sector up on stage, with Spribe, PG Soft, and Softswiss to 1xBet, BetConstruct and Melbet Affiliates all picking up trophies.
The SiGMA South Asia Awards also hosted an art auction, which was held to support communities suffering from the impact of severe weather which hit Sri Lanka this week – leaving thousands of people displaced, while over 200 remain missing. Towards the end of the evening, Hall of Game honourees were also recognised.
