Flutter Brazil has announced the appointment of Dyego Cabral de Jesus as its new Head of Compliance.

In his new role, de Jesus will be responsible for leading the company’s compliance strategy as it navigates the evolving and complex legal landscape of the newly regulated Brazilian betting market.

De Jesus brings a wealth of experience to the position, having been with Flutter Entertainment since 2021.

He began his journey with the company as a Customer Support Advisor in Dublin, Ireland, before transitioning to the role of Compliance Officer, a position he held until 2024.

Earlier in 2024, he was appointed General Manager of Compliance for Betfair Brasil, where he played a key role in maintaining the company’s integrity in close collaboration with Brazil’s Ministry of Finance.

Prior to his career in the gaming industry, de Jesus practiced law for many years in São Paulo, specializing in litigation and corporate law.

This appointment comes at a critical time for the Brazilian market. As Head of Compliance, Dyego Cabral de Jesus will spearhead crucial initiatives related to licensing, Anti-Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) regulations, and other regulatory requirements.

A key focus of his role will be to build and maintain player trust in the Flutter business by ensuring the company operates with the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and responsible gaming.

The move underscores Flutter’s commitment to building a healthy and sustainable presence in Brazil, aligned with the highest global regulatory standards.

João Studart, Flutter Brazil CEO, said:

“The regulation of the Brazilian betting market represents an important advance. It also imposes new responsibilities. Having someone with Dyego’s experience, global vision, and deep regulatory knowledge is essential for us to reinforce our commitment to integrity, transparency, and responsible gaming.”

Studart continued:

“His arrival strengthens our mission to build a healthy, sustainable betting market aligned with the highest regulatory standards in the world. Welcome, Dyego. It is a privilege to have your leadership in this new stage of our journey.”
