The official corporate logo for UAB Amber Gaming, the company fined for regulatory violations in Lithuania.

The Gaming Supervisory Authority under Lithuania’s Ministry of Finance has imposed a €15,000 ($17,500) fine on the operator UAB Amber Gaming.

The penalty was issued for a violation of the country’s gambling law, specifically related to the company’s improper termination of remote gambling contracts with its customers.

The action follows a series of complaints and subsequent inspections into the company’s practices.

The regulatory investigation was initiated after the authority received complaints from nine separate individuals, all of whom reported that Amber Gaming had terminated their remote gambling agreements without proper cause.

In response, the Gaming Supervisory Authority body conducted unscheduled special inspections of the company between 2024 and 2025 to assess its compliance with national gambling regulations.

The regulator’s findings concluded that Amber Gaming had failed to adhere to the procedures outlined in its own internal regulations when managing customer relationships.

The company neither took the required actions specified in its protocols nor did it amend its rules when existing measures proved insufficient to manage identified risks.

The authority’s final order stated that Amber Gaming terminated the customer agreements despite having not identified any violations of gambling laws or other legal requirements on the part of the clients.

This lack of justification rendered the company’s actions non-compliant with its legal obligations. The decision is not yet final and can be appealed by the operator.

This fine is part of a wider trend of tightening regulations in Lithuania, which has recently included investigations into other major operators for issues such as unauthorized advertising.
