The Mediterranean iGaming hub is officially buzzing as the SBC Summit Malta 2026 opens its doors today.
Before the core exhibition and strategic sessions begin tomorrow at the InterContinental, Tuesday’s pre-event itinerary offers delegates a blend of high-level competitive sports, coastal leisure, and essential wellness sessions designed to warm up the industry’s elite.
Morning: High-Stakes Greens and Coastal Cruises
The summit commenced at 08:30 at the historic Royal Malta Golf Club, one of Europe’s oldest courses. The invite-only Golf Tournament provided C-level executives a premier opportunity to network across 18 holes in a setting far more intimate than the busy showfloor. This exclusive morning session sets the tone for a week of strategic partnerships and high-level decision-making.
Simultaneously, at 10:00, the SBC Boat Party will sail from Sliema. A staple of the Maltese iGaming experience, this all-inclusive cruise takes attendees past the island’s iconic limestone cliffs and crystal-clear bays. With live music and local catering on deck, it remains the preferred “easygoing” icebreaker for those looking to swap industry stories before the official summit grind begins.
Afternoon: Sports, Wellness, and Logistics
For the wider delegate base, Early Badge Collection opened at noon at the InterContinental Malta. Organizers have urged attendees to pick up their credentials today to bypass the expected Wednesday morning rush.
The afternoon’s energy will shift to the IK Padel Village at 16:00, where a social Padel Tournament will welcome players of all skill levels. The fast-paced, social nature of Padel has made it an industry favorite, offering a low-pressure environment to connect with new partners “from the very first serve.”
As the sun will begin to set, the focus will turn to mental health and professional support. At 17:30, the SOHO Office rooftop will host the Women in Gaming: Sunset Rooftop Wellness Event. In honor of April’s Stress Awareness Month, this session features a professional yoga and breathwork class, offering a calm sanctuary for women in the industry to recharge before the main event.
Evening: The Official Opening Party
The day concludes at 19:00 with the official Opening Party at LUMI – VOCO Hotel. This evening mixer serves as the final networking hub of the day, allowing delegates to finalize their pre-registration, grab a drink, and catch up with colleagues from across the globe.
A New Standard for Strategic Connection
This year’s edition of the summit is expected to reach new heights, building on the success of previous years where 38% of attendees were decision-makers/C-level executives and 47% were operators, signifying a strong quality of attendance and a high-value buyer profile.
To better reflect current industry needs, SBC has introduced a refined agenda concept. Day one is dedicated to high-level panels and strategic discussion, while day two shifts the focus toward application through immersive workshops. To accommodate this hands-on approach, two additional workshop rooms will be running across both days.
For those focused on product discovery, the event features over 100 brands exhibiting or sponsoring. Delegates can explore the latest in casino titles, sports betting products, payment solutions, and compliance tools. Furthermore, a series of elite evening events will complement the daytime schedule, included for all holders of VIP, Affiliate, Operator, Exhibitor, and Sponsor passes.
