Tipico, one of the leading iGaming brands in Germany, has launched a new responsible gambling initiative called Trusted Partner, a project aimed at recognizing iGaming software providers that choose not to supply illegal gambling operators in Germany.

Germany is one of the biggest iGaming markets in Europe with massive potential, which is why many black market operators specifically target the country with the goal of capitalizing on unsuspecting players.

What is particularly concerning, however, is that by playing at black market casinos, German players open themselves to a plethora of risks.

Black market operators who bypass German regulatory requirements almost exclusively fail to ensure the safety of the player, which is in addition to not paying the taxes they owe to Germany.

Tipico decided to take things into its own hands and issue the Trusted Partner certificates to all companies that supply their products to licensed German operators.

Moreover, this initiative also requires certified operators to comply with the highest standards of transparency and promote responsible gambling initiatives and safer play.

In return, Tipico will take part in a number of marketing initiatives, including digital platforms, CRM campaigns, and TV ads, consequently including all certified partners in these marketing campaigns.

Consequently, the Trusted Partner initiative seeks to shine the light on legal and reputable providers, emphasizing the regulated market of Germany as the only way to ensure a healthy iGaming environment.

As part of the project, Tipico revealed that it also plans to extend its certification to include media partners and payment service providers who contribute to a safer gaming landscape in Germany.

The first iGaming companies that received the Trusted Partner by Tipico include reputable brands such as Play’n GO, Greentube, Games Global, and Apparat.

Christian Heins, Director of iGaming at Tipico, commented on the first batch of companies to obtain the certification, highlighting the reputation of these brands:

We are very pleased that several major game manufacturers have fulfilled the requirements as Trusted Partner at the start of our quality initiative already.  Combating illegal offerings is essential for the successful channelization into the legal and safe market, and we are convinced that this goal can only be achieved in the long term through a joint effort by all stakeholders.
