CEO Darwin Filho presented the new sports integrity platform, marking a shift from corporate initiatives to national public policy in Brazil.

In a decisive move to safeguard the ethics of Brazilian athletics, the integrity agenda championed by Esportes Gaming Brasil has officially transitioned into national public policy. Launched during the opening of BiS SiGMA South America 2026, a new specialized sports integrity educational platform has been unveiled to train athletes nationwide in identifying and preventing match-fixing.

A Standardized National Defense

Developed by global data leader Sportradar, the platform serves as an online training ecosystem available to every professional club and athlete in the country. This follows successful pilot sessions conducted by the Esportes da Sorte brand at clubs including Corinthians, Ceará, Náutico, and Ferroviária.

The initiative is now a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Sport and the National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL).

Darwin Filho, CEO of Esportes Gaming Brasil, highlighted the power of proactive education:

“We believe prevention is the most effective way to combat match-fixing and protect the integrity of competitions. This platform was created to expand access to technical knowledge and enhance athletes’ ability to respond. Our goal is to contribute to a more honest, transparent and safe sporting environment.”

The Foundation of a Regulated Market

For Plínio Lemos Jorge, President of ANJL, the platform is essential for the long-term viability of the betting sector. He noted that licensed operators are the primary opponents of match-fixing:

“Match-fixing is the opposite of what professional and licensed betting operators want. These are large companies operating in Brazil and abroad, many of them publicly listed in various parts of the world. Therefore, transparency and fair play are essential for the sector.”

The program is structured into specialized modules validated by regulatory entities, covering the scale of the problem, legal consequences, and detection methods. Felippe Marchetti, Sportradar LATAM Integrity Director, added that the platform will also support law enforcement in interpreting suspicious betting reports, strengthening the country’s defensive net against organized sports crime.
