Yggdrasil, a top-tier software provider, continues with its European expansion by breaking ground into one of Europe’s most sought-after gaming markets, Denmark.

The leading operator has received approval from the Spillemyndigheden, the Danish Gambling Authority, in a bid that will see Yggdrasil cement its already-strong presence in the Nordics and secure its reputation in the local iGaming markets as one of the top providers.

By getting the blessing from the Spillemyndigheden, local online gaming operators can now integrate the cutting-edge iGaming entertainment produced by Yggdrasil, even though there are no official partnerships announced at the moment of writing.

However, considering that Yggdrasil is a studio that originates from the Nordic region, finding a licensed online casino operator in Denmark won’t seem to be a problem for this leading software developer.

Jose Simon Kalada, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Yggdrasil, commented on this historic move and said that the company was “thrilled” to start the new year by entering a tightly regulated market, consequently praising the recent expansion efforts of the company.

We are thrilled to kick-start 2025 with such positive news as Yggdrasil continues to further showcase its presence in key regulated markets worldwide.

Speaking of the strategic moves of Yggdrasil across Europe, the studio has had a busy 2024, where it saw breaking into several lucrative markets across the Old Continent.

One of the most memorable business ventures includes the entrance of the studio in Belarus where the company partnered with one of the top local iGaming operators, Fonbet.  Similar to this, in December 2024, Yggdrasil also started a collaboration with yet another leading European operator, CoinCasino.

In addition to conquering local markets and forging partnerships with leading brands, Yggdrasil constantly surprises us with new and exciting game releases, with one of the most recent such titles being Thor’s Hammer Time created together with Reflex Gaming.
