Wildz Group has become the first online gambling operator to confirm it has received official authorisation from Finland’s National Police Board (NPB). The milestone brings the Nordic country’s upcoming licensing regime closer to its official launch, granting the Malta-based business a five-year licence to offer gambling services to Finnish players starting July 1, 2027.
Expanding brand portfolio within Finland’s regulated framework
The Wildz Group portfolio encompasses popular brands such as Wildz, Caxino, Wheelz, Spinz, Chipz, Tuplaus, and Blingi, alongside sports betting operations via Wildz Sports. As the market prepares for its official launch, competition among international operators has intensified, with total licence applications surpassing 75. Other prominent operators expressing interest include Betsson, LeoVegas, and Hippos ATG Oy.
Meanwhile, the NPB maintains strict enforcement against unauthorized marketing, and the upcoming regulatory regime will enforce strict safety measures such as autoplay bans, 15-minute responsible gaming reminders, and tiered slot stake limits.
