The Arena Racing Company (ARC), a dominant force in the UK racing industry, has achieved a significant milestone in its international expansion strategy.

The company announced that it has been granted a Gaming-Related Vendor License by the United Arab Emirates’ General Commercial Gaming Authority (GCGRA). This authorization places ARC among a select group of pioneering companies approved to enter the UAE’s nascent commercial gaming sector.

Immediate Operational Authority

Effective immediately, the license permits ARC to supply its comprehensive suite of racing products and services directly to licensed operators within the region. This approval is particularly notable given the GCGRA’s rigorous regulatory standards. As the federal entity with exclusive jurisdiction over commercial gaming in the UAE, the GCGRA’s endorsement validates ARC’s compliance capabilities and product quality.

Bringing Premium Content to the Emirates

ARC’s entry into the market will be spearheaded by its Racing1 Marketsservice. This all-encompassing product delivers a robust portfolio of horse and greyhound racing content, powered by strategic partnerships with industry leaders such as 1/ST Content, Racecourse Media Group (RMG), and Tabcorp, supported by Pythia Sports’ technology. This collective expertise will now be leveraged to provide UAE operators with a world-class betting product from day one.

Strategic Vision

Jack Whitaker, Commercial Manager at ARC, described the licensure as a pivotal moment for the company and its partners.

“This feat as a great step not only for the company but also for its partners,” Whitaker noted, expressing enthusiasm for the opportunities presented by the UAE’s regulated framework. He emphasized that ARC is eager to showcase its innovative solutions and contribute to the foundational development of the UAE’s gambling industry.

Future Outlook

With the UAE’s regulatory framework evolving and more operators expected to receive approval, the demand for compliant, high-quality gaming content is set to surge. By securing its vendor license early, ARC has positioned itself advantageously to capture market share and drive the growth of racing betting in the region.
