The platform, which has verified over 20,000 bonuses since 2005, has published the weights behind its casino scores. Licensing carries 30% of the score, while the size of the welcome offer is not part of the casino ranking formula.
A casino with a smaller welcome bonus can rank above one with a larger offer. That is the principle behind the 2026 rating methodology published today by CasinoBonusesFinder, an online casino bonus comparison platform operating since 2005. The methodology sets out the exact weights used to score every casino the platform reviews.
According to the 2026 methodology, casinos are ranked on five factors:
- Licensing: 30%
- Payout speed: 25%
- User reviews: 20%
- Payment methods and limits: 15%
- Localisation and support: 10%
Together, licensing and payout speed account for more than half of a casino’s overall score.
Bonuses are assessed separately, by their real value rather than their headline size. Before an offer is listed, it is checked against six criteria. These include its value after wagering requirements, the full terms and conditions rather than the headline offer, the casino’s complaint history, and which games count towards wagering.
“What matters is in the terms”
“A large number on a banner tells a player very little on its own,” said Tony Sloterman, Senior Casino Analyst and Chief Editor at CasinoBonusesFinder, who has more than 12 years of industry experience and has authored over 650 reviews. “What matters is whether the casino is licensed, whether it pays out reliably and what the bonus is worth once you’ve read the terms. That’s what our formula is built around, and we publish it so players can see how our rankings are put together.”
CasinoBonusesFinder combines manual review with automated tools. An AI-assisted Hidden Terms Scanner works alongside the editors’ checks to flag conditions in bonus terms, and Real-Time Expiry Automation removes expired offers from the site in real time.
A snapshot of the catalogue
As of 1 September 2026, CasinoBonusesFinder listed 1,715 active bonuses. Of these, 728 were free spins offers, roughly four in ten, and 347 were no-deposit bonuses, around one in five.
“Free spins and no-deposit offers are popular because they look like a low-risk way to try a casino, but the conditions decide whether they’re worth claiming,” said Andrii Tkachuk, Casino Bonuses Expert at CasinoBonusesFinder, who has written more than 100 reviews for the platform over six years. “That’s why every offer, however small, is checked against its full terms.”
Independence policy
The company says rankings on its site are not for sale and that it publishes negative reviews of advertisers. All reviews are produced in-house by its team of European analysts. CasinoBonusesFinder also maintains a public log of player complaints, with an average resolution time of 24 hours. The methodology is reviewed every year, and each version is published openly.
Since 2005, the platform has verified more than 20,000 bonuses and reviewed over 5,000 casinos for players in 150+ countries. It runs localised versions for markets including Germany, Japan, Mexico and Ukraine.
