Multiple Grade 1-Winning Trainer Partners with Sportsbook to Deliver Exclusive Behind-the-Scenes Content from Lambourn
Renowned National Hunt trainer Warren Greatrex has officially signed with Fairplay as a brand ambassador for the upcoming 2026/27 Jumps season. Under the new partnership, Greatrex will provide regular blogs and video updates directly from his Lambourn yard throughout the campaign, offering racing fans an exclusive look into daily stable life.
Showcasing Stable Operations and Equine Care
Greatrex, a multiple Grade 1-winning trainer famous for handling star horses such as Cole Harden and La Bague Au Roi, expressed strong enthusiasm for the collaboration.
“Fairplay is a really good concept, and I was really taken by it. As soon as I met Billy, I thought ‘wow!’, I just love his enthusiasm. I’m very excited!”
Detailing the focus of the content, Greatrex added:
“I think from our side, the partnership will allow us to showcase the yard, and through regular blogs and content we can show exactly what we do, from riding out, showing people how to swim horses and treadmilling. We’ve got an excellent young team here and I’m really pleased that with Fairplay we can showcase this.”
Fairplay Increases Investment in British Racing
Bill Gowing, Founder and Managing Director at Fairplay, emphasized that the partnership underscores the company’s growing commitment to British racing during a demanding economic and regulatory period for the sport.
“There’s no hiding from the fact that British racing is facing a challenging period. Rising costs, increased regulation and changing market conditions mean it’s more important than ever that businesses with a genuine passion for the sport continue to invest in it,” Gowing stated.
Originally launched as a social peer-to-peer betting platform in 2023, Fairplay expanded its offerings with the launch of the Fairplay Bet sportsbook following the acquisition of a dedicated licence. Building on its market footprint, the company will secure an on-course presence at Glorious Goodwood for the first time this year, alongside strategic plans to acquire a Cheltenham pitch and a Newbury National Hunt pitch for the 2026/27 season.
